TAHIR HUSSAIN A Life of Cinema

In celebration of Tahir Hussain's life, we wish to remember his work as a writer, actor, director and producer of some of India's most memorable films.

The boy from Bhopal lived and studied in Lucknow but quickly moved to Mumbai to become involved in cinema. In his beginnings, he was his bade bhai saab Nasir Hussain's assistant director and sometimes also graced the screen with his presence, such as in box office success 'Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai'. He later produced winners like 'Caravan' and also directed his son, Aamir Khan, in 'Tum Mere Ho'. Tahir was a firm believer in the power of following a script, good stories and finding a suitable cast of responsible actors.

Today he is in the memory of all the people who were part of his work, whether it was on the film making end or watching the magic of his cinema unfold on screen.

Rest in peace.
